Right in the middle of the City, straddling the beautiful and historic Mill Creek. There’s nuthin’ like it anywhere in Utah!

This stunning and unique city park was made possible because of the vision and civic-minded generosity of one of Bountiful’s grand old families: Davis Clipper publisher, Gail Stahle. Instead of cashing in and turning the acreage into a gated enclave of multi-million dollar homes, the Stahles reduced the price and offered the land to Bountiful for a park.

And what a park it is! This spectacular woodland will be a retreat for fun and relaxation by residents of all ages; AND, it has been designed to be handicapped accessible

There are four picnic pavilions, and the largest will be available by reservation:

There is a paved trail around the entire circumference of the park, and there are soft trails for woody exploration:

The bridge over Mill Creek – well, it’s awesome!

Fabulous playground facilities for kids, with a 3-level tower, slides, a rope tower, and soft-surface landing padding for Oops!.. moments :

There’s even a replica of Elephant Rock – Yep! The same Elephant Rock that is so prominent in Mill Creek Canyon – a bit of history here: it’s NOT Mueller Park Canyon! Think of Heber C. Kimball’s grist mill, just south of Bountiful High:

The City Council and I are really hoping that good weather lasts into November, because Creekside is scheduled for completion next month, and YOU REALLY HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT. There is a pre-opening tour, Saturday, November 4th, at 10:00 a.m. Everybody is welcome!

I'll see you there! Mayor Randy Lewis
